HIVDRC client

The organisation HIV Drug Research Center has established online services to predict drug susceptibility for protease inhibitors (PIs) and nucleoside/nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs) from the mutation patterns of different HIV strains' genome sequences. These services may thus permit the selection of optimal treatment for individual patients based on the mutations patterns of the patient's particular HIV strain. The services are available as Web services, making them interoperable and possible to use as components in a workflow. HIVDRC also provides access to teh services via web pages.

Bioclipse contains a feature (=set of plugins) that can invoke the HIVDRC Web services and makes them available from within the Bioclipse workbench.

For more information, see HIVDRC plugins for Bioclipse.
